Here at Old Colonel Cars we have an excellent example of the Mercedes W126 300 SE Auto. This January 1992 example has been owned be the 1 owner for most of its life, its covered 145,000 miles with and excellent service history.
Finished in Blue metallic with a Cream leather interior, it looks superb. Look closer, its a very solid and original looking example, only the odd stone chip etc, all solid arches etc.
Underneath this example looks just as good, very original and solid.
Inside, the leather is in lovely condition, the deep pile carpets still protected by the original ovemats etc.
I can report this car drives very well indeed. Its starts instantly, hot, cold, even if left for a few days. The engine sounds nice and quiet and is very smooth. It wafts along the motorway, very smooth gearbox and engine, brakes pull up well. Everything feels very solid, you quickly realx in the very comfortable, soft leather seats. Plenty of room inside, large boot, this is a very usable car.
Looking at the clues around this car, Golf Club stickers etc, you can see the long term owner kept this Mercedes in great shape.
It benefits from 26 service stamps, its just been given a fresh MOT, no advisories.
A very useable classic Mercedes that should certainly appreciate now, they really don’t build them like this any more …
