This July 1999 example has covered only 80,000 Miles.
Being a late 1999 SL, this is one of the last R129 SL’s produced, benefiting from all of the last facelift upgrades. This included benefiting from the highly regarded, 3.2 V6 engine, mated to the later, 5 speed auto gearbox. This V6 engine was the first Mercedes V6 engine, introduced in 1998, has become known for being an excellent, very reliable engine, producing 221 BHP of smooth power.
This SL is finished in Silver metallic with a Black interior. It also feature the Panoramic Glass topped hardtop, a very sought after option, costing over £2000 when new.
This very torquey engine produces plenty of smooth power, this SL just glides along.
Remove the hardtop for summer use and you have a lovely convertible to enjoy
This SL benefits from full service history. We have all the original manuals in their original folder, original stamped service book, two keys etc. Its also HPI clear, with a clear mileage verification.
The R129 SL’s are one of the most sought after classic convertibles. The are very well appointed and are lovely to have as part of any collection, or your go to car for special trips. Everywhere you take this car, they are respected by other car enthusiasts.
This SL has had a full service, including gearbox at 77,777 miles, and very recently all tyres have been replaced.
