Introduction
Here at Old Colonel Cars, the Classic and Performance Car Agency, we are delighted to have this excellent Mercedes R017 SL 300.
This January 1989 example has covered only 109,000 Miles.
One of the last R107 Mercedes produced, this example features the 3.0 straight six engine.
The 3.0 is to many, the pick of the bunch.
Being a last of the line model, they are very sought after, as they came with better body protection from the factory.
This example benefits from an excellent, fully documented service history.
We have a large folder full of old service receipts and old Mot’s, all original manuals, original fully stamped service book, spare keys etc.
This SL is a very original car, been looked after by Mercedes or very good specialists from new.
Finished in Blue Green Metallic, as you can see from the many pictures and videos on the top of our website advert, this example presents very well indeed.
This car would stand out at any show or take pride in any collection.
Look closer, no rust on any arches, all solid, underneath, sills, jacking points all just as good.
Inside, this lovely example is finished in Black leather. Again, see the videos, its presents very well.
This R107 has obviously be cared for and maintained by the right people.
I have specialised in classic cars for over 20 years, this is a lovely, original and honest example.
It drives and performs particularly well, engine starts without fuss, provides plenty of smooth power. The gearbox again, performs as it should, hot or cold.
All the heaters / fans / general electric work as they should.
Its comes with a matching hardtop in excellent condition.
The Bulkhead has been repaired by the SL Shop , so comes with a lifetime warranty.
Just serviced in June 2026 by the SL Shop.
