A simply superb example that’s been in the same family since new. Purchased by the father, then passed to his son, covering only 65,000 miles.
A very original car, that’s always been garaged from new.
This car has never been restored, just carefully maintained and stored.
For the last 25 years, the car has be maintained by a family member, who happens to own and run a very well respected garage. He has just given this car a thorough mechanical going over (Full inspection / New fuel tank / Fuel lines / Cooling system refresh), with the previous invoice showing a complete brake system over hall and ignition system refresh.. So its ready to be enjoyed.
This is one of the last 240’s, so it comes with the upgraded, more powerful 2.5 engine. Not only did they get more power, this along with other changes took them up to a 100 MPH top speed, which made quite a fuss back n the day.
A 4 Speed manual transmission with Overdrive.
Featuring the Ambla ‘leather’ interior. As you can hopefully see, this is in fantastic condition. Look around this superb interior, the door cards, dash, carpets and headlining are all just as nice.
This car always starts instantly, hot or cold. Its remarkably smooth to drive, the clutch is nice and light, gear selection easy, brakes feel very sharp. All the dials work as they should, the car has good oil pressure and keeps temperature as it should. I had the pleasure of driving the car for an hours trip on a motorway, and it performed perfectly, keeping up with traffic with ease.
Being over 40 years, this car is now Road Tax and Mot exempt, also can be used in Ulez areas.
Despite not needing an MOT, this car will come with a YEARS MOT on sale, so its ready to be enjoyed.
