EXCELLENT EXAMPLE
Here at Old Colonel Cars, the Classic and Performance Car Agency, we have this superb and rare to find BMW E30 318 IS, or the ‘baby M3’ as its known. These special E30’s were only made for 2 years. They have very similar performance to the E30 325 Sports, but rather than use the straight six, BMW chose to use this 1.8 16v Twin Cam engine, which is an engine that loves to be revved. This August 1990 example has covered only 85,000 Miles.
These are one of the rarest E30’s and are now very much sought after. Many have covered high mileages, it wasn’t uncommon to see examples with over 200,000 miles on them 10 + years ago. These cars certainly seem able to take the high mileages, so its getting very hard to find lower mileage example like this.
Finished in Alpine White II, the paintwork and bodywork on this car look superb. Look closer, all solid arches, no noticable dings or dents, a lovely deep all over shine.
Inside, the sports check cloth seats are in amazing condition, as are the door cards etc. Look closer, none of the very common cracks on the dash. Headlining all all good and correct, a lovely manual sunroof as well.
Underneath this car is again all solid and in excellent shape.
This cars drives and performs very well indeed. The engine starts and performs without any fuss, very eager to rev and a lovely engine note. The 5 speed manual gearbox is nice and precise, the clutch feels just right.
The owner of this car is only letting it go due to a change in circumstances.
This is a lovely, well maintained example that I think is priced very well.
MOT’d until May 2023 (No Advisories), just serviced at 85,402 miles.
