Vehicle Details

Here we have stunning example of the very rare Mercedes SL60 AMG. This is 1 of only 49 RHD examples, this example has only covered 73,000 miles, with and excellent service record. Obviously its a convertible which also comes with the lighter weight hardtop.

Some of you might not have come across this model. First of all, his is not to be confused with the more readily available V12 SL600. The car we have here is the AMG tuned version of the excellent 6.0 V8. Now AMG not only tune the engine, but apply their magic to the suspension, brakes, specify massively wide AMG alloys, along with the beefed up AMG bodywork. It was officially reported this tuned V8 produced 381 BHP, but its widely accepted they produce alot more than this. For some reason Mercedes wanted the V12 to appear to be the top performer. But this SL60 AMG is the jewel in the lineup. You can cruise around in total smooth luxury, but push this car and it transforms into an absolute performance beast, growling engine note, planted handling. A car that has a big following, once they learn how special they are.

This example is as good as they come, fully loaded and excellent inside and out. Finished in Brilliant Silver with Grey extended leather.

Only 2 former keepers, this Mercedes has obviously been cherished from new, with an excellent service history.

We also have the original sales invoice, confirming this car cost £104,000 in 1997, along with magazine features etc.

This car has remained in the main dealer network for most of its life. It was last sold by the Mercedes, with 69,000 Miles on it, by Mercedes-Benz Edinburgh. The advert read ‘A very genuine one owner car, fully prepared for sale, an outstanding example’.

Everything works as it should and it drives perfectly.

Have a look at the reviews, read the road tests of this car. If you are looking for a modern classic, to tuck away ready for the special weekend drives, this car will not disappoint.
