Here we have an immaculate example of an extremely rare car. This is BMW’s answer to the Audi Quattro etc, a clever 4wd E30, with the excellent 2.5 straight six engine and manual gearbox. These cars were never an option in the UK but were very popular in Europe and the US. This example is an excellent example, originally shipped to the US , then spent time in Jersey before coming back to the UK. The result of this time spent in the milder climates is a car which has a really solid, rust free body. There are only 6 of this cars registered in the UK, and none can better the condition of this one.
Finished in Metallic Black, the bodywork and paintwork is excellent. These BMW’s came with the Msport bodywork trim, with its unique wheel arch covers etc. Its all in excellent condition, a really deep all over shine, this car looks stunning. Look closer and there are no noticable dings or dents, all the rare Msport trim is present and correct, a really stunning car. Look inside the wheel arches, look underneath, its all just as good. All solid and as it should be.
Inside this car comes with the lovely Hounds tooth sports seats with matching door trim etc. As you can see, the seats are in lovely condition, as is the door cards etc. The colour combination works really well, giving this interior a real period and sporty feel.
Lastly the wheels, these BMW BBS alloys are unique to this model and are all in excellent condition, all fitted with good tyres etc.
The engine and gearbox all sounds as they should, the 2.5 engine gives plenty of smooth power, the gearbox and clutch offering lovely gear changes. If you haven’t driven an IX, you just get the extra feeling of this car being very planted to the road. In a straight line, its sounds and drives as a 325 would, but show it a corner and you can really feel the system working. It adjusts the delivery or power as needed, in normal driving situations sending most of the power to the rear wheels as any BMW should.
This car comes with a lovely history, and its just been MOT’d and had a full service.
This is an extremely rare car , great fun to drive and can only appreciate now.
Its ready to go now !
